I believe that it is important to know the story behind the race and the Candidates. This page is the timeline and story of the Republican Candidates for Oregon Congressional District 6 in 2026.
- FEBRUARY 10, 2025 – David Russ files “Official Candidacy”*with the Federal Elections Commission. Standing by his solid commitment to the people, Russ makes his intentions and commitment known 460 days before the 2026 Primary. As of this date, no other Republican candidate filinings for OR CD6 exist in the FEC database.
- March 18, 2025 – A man from Beaverton is chatting with Yamhill County PCP’s at Andrea Salinas’ town hall in McMinnville says he, “…almost has the $750,000 commitment from ‘friends and family’ to attain the blessing of the Republican National Congressional Committee (RNCC). After that evening, he is not heard from on the issue again.
- August 2025 – A source who shall remain unnamed tells #RussIsforUS that they recently took another Republican National Congressional Committee (RNCC) proposed candidate to a County Republican Central Committee Meeting inside of CD6. After that meeting, the second proposed RNCC candidate was never heard from again.
- September 23, 2025 – David Russ Files with Oregon Secretary of State to be on the 2026 Primary Ballot as a Republican Candidate for Oregon Congressional District 6. As of this date, no other Republican candidate filings for OR CD6 exist in the FEC database nor the Oregon Secretary of State database.
- January 28, 2026 – David Russ files with Oregon Secretary of State to place his Voter’s Pamphlet Statement via a Petition. This filing requires 300 valid signatures from CD6 Voters confirming #RussIsForUS’s grass roots support. As of this date, no other Republican candidate filings for OR CD6 exist in the FEC database nor the Oregon Secretary of State database.
